Dal makhni

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup Black masoor Dal soaked over night
  2. Whole Jeera
  3. 1/2 cup Red Onions Chopped
  4. 1/2 cup tomatoe puree
  5. 1 tsp Chopped Garlic
  6. 1 tsp Ginger
  7. 1 tsp Green chillies
  8. 1 tsp tumeric powder
  9. 1 tsp Red Chili Powser
  10. 4 tsp of Corriander Powder
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Creme (Optional)
Method:
  1. Boil the Masoor Dal on a Slow Heat for 30 min 
  2. Heat oil in pan add the Jeera chopped ginger - garlic & green chillies
  3. Add the choped Onions and cook it for some time 
  4. Add the tomatoe puree and let it cook till the oil seperated
  5. Add turmeric powder Chilli powder and Corriander powder 
  6. Add salt to taste
  7. Add the cooked dal and Cover it with the lid Cook it for 15 min on slow Heat 
  8. Garnish it with Creme and cilantro when the desired thickness is reached 
  9. Serve hot with Steam rice
