Palak Paneer

Ingedients

1 bunch spinach
1 cup onion sliced
1/2 tomatoe
1 clove of garlic minced
1 tsp ginger diced
1 bay leaf
salt to taste
red chilli poder to taste
corriander powder
1 cup cubes of paneer (cottage cheese)

Method:

For making Paneer (Optional it is readily available too)

  1. Heat Whole milk in a heavy bottom pan
  2. let it boil for some time
  3. when the boil comes add little lemon
  4. put the mixture in a muslin cloth tie it to let the water drain
  5. After the water is drained put some heavy thing on the cloth ( you can also keep a heavy bowl full of water)
  6. freeze it for 8 hrs after all the water is drained and its little hard.


Method for the gravy
1.Heat water and add the spinach leaves and half tomatoe
2.heat oil in a pan and add the bay leaf,onion and garlic
3.saute for some time
4. grind the boiled tomatoe and spinach and add to the onions
5.add red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt
6.stir for sometime and add paneer cubes
7.garnish with creme and serve hot
